Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple HVAC Automation projects, delivering scope, dealing with constraints in the coordination of materials, and labour for the on-time, on-budget completion. The Project Manager is responsible to ensure that internal communications are maintained so office support tasks are completed according to their timeline. This is a challenging position that offers the chance to take ownership in a key position. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage several projects simultaneously
- Ensuring projects meet their intended objectives and are timely, cost effective, customer and quality focused
- Act as the leading representative of the company in all interactions with the customers
- Contribute to project management process improvement
- Review the internally produced engineered installation drawings and maintain a record set for as-built purposes
- Collaborate on the deployment of shared engineering, installation, and commissioning resources
- Assist in the transition of construction projects to service contracts as the scope is nearing completion
- Report to the Operations Manager, attending site and internal meetings as scheduled
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree or diploma in electrical engineering or construction management or equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional or similar designation
- Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in planning and delivering construction projects on time on budget
- Must have working knowledge of estimating, scheduling, construction management and contract administration in a commercial environment.
- Building Automation Controls and HVAC knowledge considered a strong asset
- Reading/understanding blueprints and construction documents
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Strong inter-personal, communication, organization and time management skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently with excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Project, and Visio
